Help for a Founding BRAM Member

If you can spare some time on Friday (9/21/18) afternoon between 2PM & 6PM, Melba Henson could use your help. Ron & Melba Henson were part of the original group that started the BR Mustangers and they were longtime members until Ron’s unfortunate passing some years ago due to Huntington Disease. Melba is now selling their house and needs help moving some things from the attic and moving some furniture outside for a garage sale. If you cannot make that time slot but still want to help, just contact Melba at one of the numbers below and I’m sure something can be worked out. Here is the location and contact information:

5356 Bull Run Drive; Baton Rouge, LA 70817

BRAM Meeting Wednesday October 10, 2018

Please notice that for October ONLY our monthly meeting is moved to the 2nd Wednesday and will be held on 10/10/2018! As everyone in the classic car hobby knows, Cruising The Coast is in full swing during the first week of October. In years past, we had so many members participating in CTC that we decided to move the October meeting back one week. As usual, the B.R.A.M. meeting will be at Jones Creek Cafe & Oyster Bar (225-755-3550) located at 15005 Market Street in Baton Rouge. This is near the intersection of Coursey and Jones Creek. If you are coming from Jones Creek the restaurant is behind the Outback Steakhouse and if you are coming from Coursey the restaurant is behind Raisin’ Cane. We will be in the dining room on the right after you come through the front door. Members will begin to arrive around 6PM and the meeting starts at 7PM. Those that wish to order meals typically arrive earlier. The parking lot for the One Hour air conditioning repair facility next door can be used by club members because that business closes at 5PM and the restaurant has a good working relationship with them.

This meeting will review our club’s activities during the month of September, review CTC, and will talk about plans for future events. Our next club activity is participation in Cruisin’ The Coast and then our show is quickly coming up on November 10th. Discussion concerning our show and making it a success will be a big part of the October meeting so please try to come..
